Abstract
IPTV will still be one of hottest topic in 2007, How to evaluate and measure IPTV related equipment and network End-to-End performance is the key point of it. Ixia provides one set of End-to-End IP performance testing solution, it can assist NEMs, ISPs improve products performance and optimize network structure during the process of product design (STB, Multi-Service Access, DSLAM, Edge Switch, Edge Router, Video Server ), equipment deployment, network walk-through, system maintenance. It supports MPEG2/MPEG4/H.264/VC-1 over MPEG2 TS over RTP/UDP stream transmitting, and gets Video Quality Measurement metrics, for example, MDI (RFC 4445), VSQ (Video Service Quality) and Channel Change time and I-Frame Join latency etc.

Ixia will present above testing methodology and implementation during the conference, and also, will introduce MSTV (Microsoft IPTV) testing solution and RAVE system ---- IPTV networks management, testing and maintenance solution which is used by a couple of ISPs worldwide.

Speaker Biography
Mr. Kevin Yang works for IXIA China as Senior System Engineer. He has been responsible for providing technical solutions to key accounts and service providers. Mr. Yang’ s focus has been data communications testing industry, and he is a highly regarded expert in this area.

Mr. Yang has about 10 year's experiences in telecom industry. He received Bachelor's Degree of Communications Engineering from Xi'an Institute of Posts and Telecommunications.<Back>
